On June 20, 2019 five members of Sailor Kate Ministry ( a family run organization from the state of Georgia) took a flight up to New York to present The Gabriella Boyd Memorial Foundation with a home made, hand crafted quilt that Sailor Kate Ministry and other aligning organizations created for Gabriella Boyd and the rest of her surviving family. In addition to giving a one of a kind quilt that had squares (patch’s) that reflected Gabbys love for animals, her favorite color purple, and holy excerpts from the Bible; Sailor Kate also brought up 200 Teddy Bears to be donated to Children less fortunate and in need.
The visit was warm and welcomed, a blessing from above. Not only symbolically does a quilt provide a sense of security, warmth and comfort but figuratively the action of receiving this gift from an organization that also endured the mental and physical anguish of loosing a child affirmed that there was a bond shared by these two little angels similar to how sisters would come together to open up presents during the holidays or a birthday.
Gabriella’s quilt not only protects Gabby but provides a sense of comfort for her family and a safe haven for the silent majority of good parents who align themselves with The GBMF fighting to protect THEIR children, THEIR best interests,and trying to let THEIR voices be heard against an out dated, ineffective, bias and conflicted Family Court system.
Now, proudly The Gabriella Boyd Memorial Foundation takes part and works with Sailor Kate Ministry to pay it forward to other individuals and families that have fallen on hard times by participating in making patch’s for different quilts. Together we are strong!

Today our beautiful sweet ladybug Gabriella officially turned 10 years old.
I wish everyday that you was here with us, I would currently be baking, preparing to throw your birthday party surrounded by friends and family. You would be in school, I can picture your friends from school celebrating with us. I had the pleasure to help plan your 1st and 2nd birthday, I baked your cake and bought the decor...it was a memory I will forever cherish, but the one I cherish the most is when I was making you Minnie Mouse birthday cake and you helped me decorate. Memories are all we are left with, memories we cherish everyday day along with with the pictures we took.
Today we celebrate you my sweet girl, today we talk about you and only you.
The pain is always real my baby girl, but the strength you have given me, your father, the family is what keeps us going, the support we receive from all of your supporters is what has kept this organization, your organization going, because of you my sweet girl we have helped so many families, so many children and we will continue to do so while we continue to fight for the justice you deserve.
2.5 years old, you was taken from us, 2.5 years old you my sweet girl was robbed from living the life that you deserved, you were failed by the system and that thing but our promise remains to fight, fight and fight because that is what family does.
We love you so much and I know you are celebrating with a loved ones who have left us and you are surrounded by a table full of cupcakes your favorite and your second favorite lol Nannys macaroni lol! Love you my sweet girl.

We should absolutely be planning her birthday how she would want it, instead all we can do is wonder what theme she would like. We celebrate this beautiful little girl who deserved to live her life surrounded by us her family...my ladybugs life was cut way too short so now here we are as a family as a father as a stepmother to keep her legacy alive and her memory alive by advocating for parents fighting in family court, we are fighting for the children being put in positions they never asked to be in.
For Gabriella`s birthday month we ask for your donation to help advocating, to help us keep children first as it should be, something that has been long forgotten by the justice system. Be part of a good cause!!! No amount is too small.
